Home for the Holidays

We had a great time in Salida Christmas Day! We got Max a cardboard playhouse that he can color. I don't know who had more fun with it, Clay or Max! Always a party ~ Always a great time! Thanks Sam and Ken for the hospitality! xo

Christmas Break

It is so wonderful to have the family back together again. Miss Blake is home until the 8th and is balancing her time working and visiting with friends. Evan and Clay are hunting for elk daily. Evan and Blake are getting used to one another again. Blake is amazed how Evan has become a "man" while she has been away. He tried her pants on his arm and we all got a good giggle. xo

District Wrestling Tournament

What a fun day we had watching Evan compete in the Middle School District Wrestling Tournament. He wrestled four times and easily won three. One of his opponents was a 250 lb. BIG GUY. Evan handled him easily. Evan ended up in third place and we all were so proud. Great day! Good Job Evan! xo

Big Money

We went to visit Miss Blake at work last Thursday and it was BINGO night. There was a $500 pot. Clay won! Woo Hoo! Someone else did also so we had to split the pot. We weren't complaining. We also had to tip our super cute waitress. ;o) xo

The Cheerleader Magazine

Miss Blake's team, Cheer Central Suns, was featured in this months The Cheerleader Magazine. She no longer cheers for this team, but they are still family. The pictures they used for the article are from last year's World Championships. Miss Blake is front and center in the jumps, she is the solo jump on the left at the bottom and the center of the pyramid. So famous! xo

...Have we been here before?

"Daddy help" was the post on Facebook with this picture. Two flat tires, not flat, but shredded. Hmmmm...how long should a girl drive once she figures out she has a flat tire? This was TOO long. I think is was a year ago when we posted a similar picture of a damaged wheel. Silly girl!

Thanksgiving!!!

So grateful for Thanksgiving Break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
G&G drove my girl home from OK. We had a very nice visit. Not to say there weren't some struggles ~ all that freedom and then home... we are both learning how to deal. I enjoyed having her home again and am so proud of my girl. Three more weeks. 4.0 .... I am feeling it.. :o) xo
Thank you boys for putting up with me. You two are amazing!

CSU-Pueblo Football

Our nephew, Grant, plays for CSU-Pueblo and has for four years. He has been a huge part of building their program to what it has become ~ ranked #1 in Division II!!!! Wow, he is fun to watch!!! We were able to go to the last game where they were awarded Division Champions! It was a fun day!

Miss Blake dressed up as a pimp this Halloween and sent home some pictures of her "arrest". I thought it was cute...Clay did not. ;o)

Wrestling 2011

Evan has had an amazing start to eighth grade wrestling. He has had three matches and has pinned each opponent in the first period! Wow! I am a super proud mama! He is wrestling heavy weight this year, weighing in at 195. Heavy weight for middle school sports is 150 +. He is having a blast!! xo

Inside OSU - 2011 Homecoming

Miss Blake is enjoying OSU Homecoming this weekend. I am so excited for her. This video explains the pomping she has been doing as a member of the Zeta Tau Alphas. I hear the end products are amazing. I can't wait to post pictures. As a member of the cheer team, she is performing at the prep rally and although "top secret", she is participating in a flash mob. I will post videos if I can get them. GO POKES - BEAT BAYLOR!!! xo

Snow Day!

Yikes! What a difference a day makes! Storm came in last night and we woke up to LOTS of snow and broken branches everywhere!!! Bummer. Forecast is to be warm and sunny by Friday. Gotta love Colorado!

Deer Hunt

A day off of school on a beautiful fall day ~ chain broke on the bike, Evan flips, WIPEOUT!!! Wrestling season starts next week. That's gonna hurt!!! xo

Autumn Colors

I returned from Mexico to a completely different colored back yard. In one week, the trees turned red, yellow, purple, and green. What a beautiful surprise!!!

Playa Del Carmen!!

My employer takes the entire office to Mexico every 18 months. We traveled to Playa Del Carmen this year. Clay has traveled with me the two previous years but between Dad's Day and Evan's 14th birthday, I traveled alone. ;o(. The weather was amazing minus two days of tropical storm rain. We enjoyed a fantastic day at sea on a catamaran. Good friends! Good fun!
