I love picking Evan up from a week at camp. He truly has the best time of his life and I always love to hear the kind words the counselors have to say about my boy. Evan's cabin won the "Longs Peak Award" which is a prestigious award given to one boy cabin for sportsmanship, skill, cleaning their cabin, etc. The boys were excited. It's good to have my boy home! xo I was sitting in the stadium of Camp Timberline admiring the view. I took a short video to share.
This is Evan's fifth year going to camp and he's just as excited as day one! We dropped him off yesterday and will pick him up next week. Seven days of zip lines, mountain adventures, and fun fun fun! He will have a blast! But, gosh, I miss him!!!
My little Hooters girl sure lives a rough life. Promotions, promotions, promotions. Washing motorcycles for charity, wandering around a car show and next month a golf tournament! She gets paid to look cute . . . tough life!
We visited Salida over the weekend for the annual FIBArk celebration. It has been 20 years since I have been to FIBArk. What a blast! We enjoyed spending a day with nephews, Max and JD, sister, Niki, and friends, Scott and Lisa. What an absolute slice of paradise!
Years ago, every Christmas, I would write a holiday letter to send with our Christmas card to all of our friends and family. I absolutely loved doing this. It was an opportunity for me to brag about my fabulous family. The process of writing this letter truly touched my heart ~ it was my annual gratitude journal. When I viewed a friend of mine's blog, I thought, what a great way to share with my friends and family everthing that we are doing throughout the year! And thus a daily gratitude journal. It's good for the heart! So here we go . . . Welcome to our family!
Clay and I have been married for 20 years. We have two fantastic children who fill our hearts with so much pride and joy and lots and lots of love. Our Princess, 19, has headed off to Oklahoma State University where she has earned a spot on their competative cheerleading team. She has worked hard for this opportunity. She will major in sports management. We love the beautiful young lady she has become ~ inside and out! Our Lil Buddy, 15, is our gentle giant. His heart is even larger than his stature. He is a dedicated student, a great friend, and a tough guy on the football field. He loves his family whole heartedly and is the self appointed "Keeper of the Peace". He makes us very proud!
